The TCSOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Summer Program in Osaka hosted by Osaka Gakuin University in collaboration with the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) of Teachers College, Columbia University entered its final week centered around Foreign Language Pedagogy taught by Professor Zhaohong Han.

From July 28th to August 1st, Professor Han led an intensive week of instruction based on current research in second language education. Seventeen participants from diverse language teaching backgrounds were challenged to connect theory with practice through their capstone projects which tasked them with designing and delivering lessons using the latest technological tools.

Two key topics covered during the week included:

• Task-based language teaching (TBLT)
• Integrating generative AI into language teaching and learning

We wrapped up the program with a special reception celebrating the achievements of this year's 17 dedicated participants. It was a pleasure to work with and recognize the accomplishments of the Class of 2025!
