On April 11, 2025, Vice President Palik, Ambassador Fritz, and a delegation from the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) visited OGU to engage in discussions with President Motoyasu Shirai and Professor Kobayashi of the School of International Studies. The delegation's visit coincided with their official attendance at the opening ceremony of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

During their brief stay, the delegation conducted a tour of the OGU campus, including the library, gaining insights into the university's facilities and educational environment. OGU maintains a collaborative partnership with the College of Micronesia-FSM.
