OGU's "OGU Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education Program" has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a "Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education Program (Literacy Level)" [August 26, 2024].
　This accreditation system was established through collaboration between the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, with the goal of increasing students' interest in mathematics, data science, and AI, and to develop their basic ability to understand and use mathematics, data science, and AI appropriately in regular courses at universities and other institutions. The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology certifies, selects, and encourages those that provide systematic education in comprehension of mathematics, data science, and AI, and related technologies, with the aim of increasing students' interest in the aforementioned fields, and fostering their basic ability to understand and use them appropriately.
　OGU has established three AI-related foundation courses from the 2020 academic year and has developed the "OGU Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education Program" from the 2023 academic year.
　The "OGU Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education Program" is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology under the "Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education Program Accreditation System (Literacy Level)" (accreditation expires on March 31, 2029).
