The International Center will be hosting a public lecture, called "On-the Ground with Foreign NGOs ～The Skills Required of Young Japanese People in Order to Achieve the SDGs".
Yukie Kobayashi, CEO of a Philippines-based NGO (NPO in Japan), has spent many years taking on local issues related to the environment, poverty, and education. This year, 18 first year students are scheduled to take part in an English language learning program in Iloilo City from September 1 to 14. The students will volunteer with LOOB as part of the program. Let's use this lecture to think about what we can do to achieve the SDGs. Local students who support LOOB will be in attendance.
