コロンビア大学「The TCSOL/TESOL Summer 2019 Dual Certificate Program in Japan」プログラム実施のお知らせについて ＊English follows.

    本学は、アメリカの名門コロンビア大学Teachers CollegeのThe Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE)と提携し、英語・中国語指導者の方を対象に「The TCSOL/TESOL Summer 2019 Dual Certificate Program in Japan」プログラムを下記のとおり実施します。

《プログラム説明》

The TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Japanは、アメリカの名門コロンビア大学Teachers CollegeのThe Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE)が、大阪学院大学(OGU)と提携を結び、英語・中国語指導者の方を対象に実施するプログラムです。コロンビア大学教授陣の直接指導により、言語理論に基づいた英語・中国語教授法を集中的に学ぶことが可能です。特に「タスクベース・ラーニング(Task-Based Language Teaching=TBLT)」に焦点を当てることで、コミュニカティブ・ランゲージ・ティーチング(Communicative language teaching=CLT)への理解を深めることをめざします。

《このプログラムに参加するメリットとは？》

  1. TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)、またはTCSOL(Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages)を選択、もしくはその両方を受講することが可能です。プログラム修了者には、コロンビア大学Teachers College・大阪学院大学よりCertificateが発行されます。
  2. ニューヨークに行かなくても、名門コロンビア大学の教授陣から指導を受けることができます。
  3. 本プログラム修了者は、ニューヨークでの1年間のTCSOLプログラムに申し込みをされる際の優遇、および学費割引を受けることが可能です。
  4. 同じ目的を持つ参加者とともに学習することで学びが深まります。

《対象となる方》

  1. 英語・中国語（または多言語）教授法を専攻する大学院生や大学4年次生、または卒業生の方
  2. 現役英語・中国語指導者の方で、指導法についての専門知識を深めたい方
  3. 教職志望等、転職を考えておられる専門家の方で新しいスキルを身につけたい方
  4. 既にTCSOL/TESOLプログラムを修了された方で、最新の教授法を学びたい方

受講料 各コースUSD1,500 / 両コース受講USD3,000 （別途申込料が必要）

Thank you for your interest in the TCSOL/TESOL Summer 2019 Dual Certificate Program in Japan, co-hosted by Teachers College(TC), Columbia University and Osaka Gakuin University. We would like to inform you that the program will take place as follows.

<Program Details>

The TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Japan is a collaborative program co-sponsored by the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University and Osaka Gakuin University (OGU). Developed and taught by Columbia professors, this program provides participants with a strong foundation in linguistic theory as well as intensive training in the teaching of English and/or Chinese. The program's focus on Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) also provides participants with a unique opportunity to strengthen their understanding of this branch of communicative language teaching.

<Why participate in this program?>

  1. Participants have the option of obtaining a single certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), or both. Certificates will be jointly issued by Teachers College, Columbia University and OGU upon successful completion of the program.
  2. Participants will have a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from Columbia professors without having to travel to New York.
  3. Participants will be given priority consideration and tuition discount when applying to the TCSOL one-year program in New York.
  4. Participants will be able to collaborate with like-minded individuals from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds.

  2. College seniors in Chinese linguistics, English Bilingual or Multilingual Education.
  3. Teachers of Chinese or English looking to enhance their teaching expertise.

  5. Individuals seeking to acquire a new skill.

Monday, July 22 - Friday, August 9, 2019 *except Saturday and Sunday
Location: Osaka Gakuin University, 2-36-1, Kishibe-minami, Suita City, Osaka, Japan

Course Fee:
USD1,500 each (TCSOL or TESOL) / USD 3,000 (TCSOL and TESOL)
*Application fee NOT included.

The program accepts the following English proficiency tests:
EIKEN (PRE-1 or above)
TOEIC
TOEFL
IELTS
