Application Requirements

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

1
Hold a nationality other than Japanese, and be 18 years of age or older, as at 31st March, 2019.
2
Have sat the ‘Japanese as a Foreign Language’ subject (on either the 1st examination in June, 2018 or the 2nd examination in November, 2018) the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).

Able to gain or renew visa status of ‘Student’, as stipulated by the Japan Immigration and Refugee Control Act.

Either of the following;
1)
Have completed or as of 31st March, 2019 will have completed 12 years of secondary education outside of Japan. Up to 3 years of education in a Japanese high school can be counted towards the 12 year total.
2)
Have been recognized by this university as a person either equaling or surpassing the academic ability required in 1) above.

Application Documents

Application form, funds transfer receipt of Application Fee, statement of purpose, photograph, Certificate of (Expected) Graduation, academic transcript, copy of EJU examination results, copy of Residence Card, copy of Residence Certificate.

Selection Process

Essay (Japanese,60mins,100 pts) + Interview (Japanese)

Admission will be decided based on the overall results of the essay, interview, statement of purpose, and other application documentation.
